Contemporary fashion brand Hellz is pleased to present their Fall 2009 Delivery 2 collection ‘Midnight Riders’, photographed by Brooke Nipar. By utilizing dark themes found in the iconic 80's flick ‘Mad Max’, ‘Midnight Riders’ aims to represent the ideology of the subversive in not only fact and fiction, but fashion as well.

Black, pewter gray and grenadine red are colors present throughout the collection to set the tone and to compliment the progressive and functional silhouettes by drawing attention to the details of each piece. New interesting pieces in this collection include; the ‘Krueger’, a unique play on a pullover jacket with a hidden hood underneath a high profile collar and the ‘Hammer’, a slouch-fit cotton canvas pant with contrasting grenadine red fabric pocket lining, welt back pockets and functional button details.

Hellz™ presents the second installment of our Spring '09 collection, Renegades of Funk, a tribute collection to the Electro-Sound of the 80's in NYC. Paying homage to the string of electro 12" records by Soul Sonic Force & Afrika Bambaataa including our all time favorite, "Renegades of Funk," which truly stood on its own without trying to sound (or not sound) like Planet Rock or Looking For The Perfect Beat. It was a song that was a beat of its own, a beat that the Hellz female can nod to!

Adding color, to our often dark color schemes, the new palette took onto shape during a long day at work, when Renegades of Funk was on the tunes, inspiring a vibrant, cultural, funk style often synonymous to Bambaataa. Even with the infusion of brighter colors and femme silhouettes, Hellz' imaginary muse; the badass woman is very much present with her toughness all but heightened by the juxtaposition of soft and hard fabrications.

The weather's been so beautiful the past couple of days but since I'm always couped up in my office I don't often get the chance to enjoy the sunny so-cal weather. So when I got a call from Insa, who's been in town working over at the Rogue Status office/store in Venice Beach I could'nt pass heading over there to enjoy a bite by the beach.

It was nice catching up with him and hearing what he has in store for everyone. Hopefully, you'll be seeing another INSA x HELLZ collab soon.

I came out to NY for a feature on women's streetwear for Giant Magazine. Erin from MadeMe and Annie from Cubannie Links were in the feature with me... both of which are very awesome and talented ladies!!! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics from the shoot so you'll have to wait for the issue to hit stands... I'll keep you posted for when it drops.
After the shoot, Annie and I went on a road trip headed toward Boston for the Karmaloop store opening and after party. Once again after settling into yet another hotel, I got my ass ready and off to the party.
Once I got to the party, which was at the most random chinese restaurant in China town, I swore I was in NY all over again... everyone was there!!!

Yves Saint Laurent passed away on Sunday at his home in Paris, after battling a long undisclosed illness. YSL hasn’t been in the public eye for a year. Yves Saint Laurent blew up the fashion scene at the age of 21, as a new designer at Christian Dior taking secession from Christian Dior himself. Bay Areaaaaaa!!!

Instead of taking a breather from our sales in Los Angeles and San Diego, we packed our bags once again and headed northbound for San Francisco. It was a long and might I add... a lonnnnng drive but once we got there I took a deep inhale of the nice cool (yeah right... freezing was more like it) weather.

Right after settling into our hotel in Little Tokyo, we walked right over to Fatlace, where we were having our sale for the weekend. The Fatlace crew welcomed us and we got to work...

Later that evening we got a call from our girl, Dominique from Homeroom and headed over to a party they were throwing with Chuck Norris... yup that's right, Chuck Norris the martial arts guy, lol. No, unfortunately he didn't show but I got take home this lovely mask :)

The following 2 days were all a blur but all I remember is that the bay area has HELLA love for Hellz and vice versa. The turnout was amazing and we hope to be back there soon...

Thanks soooo much to everyone who came out to support Hellz and muchos gracias to Mark and the rest of the crew at Fatlace for all your help and hospitality!!!

We just got back into town from San Diego... it was a crazy crazy weekend, filled w/ lots of fun in the sun, awesome deals and good peoples. There was a long line out but I'm sure it was definitely worth the wait... right ladies?!!

It's always nice going back to my hometown that I love so much but this time was especially nice to see how much love SD has for Hellz... much love to all fly ladies (and they're boyfriends) who came out to the 5&aDime pop up shop.

This weekend we finally kicked off our 3 city warehouse sale tour, starting off at our current home base, Los Angeles. Despite the blazin' 96˙ weather & the fact that the venue was in the cut, we had an awesome turnout. I was hyped to see the long line upon my arrival but bummed at the same time for everyone waiting out in the heat.

We got hooked up w/ VIP tix which allowed us full access... awesome!!! The night was crazy and you won't believe what I'm about to tell you... well first we watched the show from the front row, I got pulled up onstage by Pharell himself, then we chilled w/ Andre 3000 and I danced w/ the Olson twins, lol... sooo random right?

PROJECT RUNWAY 4 WINNER: CHRISTIAN SORIANO

If you've been as addicted to Project Runway 4 as I've been then you would understand how horrified I was that I missed the final episode :( Luckily, Bam DVR'd it for me and I was able to catch the episode when I got back from New York. OMG... I was soooooo happy to find out that my little "fierce" Christian Soriano took the prize. Oh and he's not only my favorite because he was rockin' the "Let It Rain" Hellz collab tee w/ Dan Funderburgh or because he just so happened to work w/ my fave-fave designer of all time, Vivienne Westwood but because he truly was the most talented designer on the show. Go Christian.. thanks for repping Hellz & good luck to you, although I know you don't need it. We'll all be seeing plenty of this fierce dynamo in the future.

HOLIDAY 2007 PREVIEW

With military/mod inspired silhouette's from the early '60's british punk era, the collection works within a strict palette of black, white, red, and military green. With references rooted in sound, ranging from The Clash and Sex Pistols all the way to Roxanne Shante, all of which were an inspiration to each piece. Check out the preview here.
